March 22, 2020
Well, now. As of this past Monday, March 16th New Mexico State Parks, closed all parks within the state until April 9th with the caveat that this closure date may be extended. And, yes that includes Navajo Lake State Park. This applies to all campgrounds and day-use areas within the park boundary, so therefore, all of the Quality Water section and an additional portion that lies within these confines, is closed to any parking, foot traffic, or fishing.
Limited access to the river remains open at this time, only in areas outside of the park. At this time, it is unclear how long, and if, those areas will remain open.
Out of safety concerns for the health and welfare of our employees and customers,
Abe's Motel and Fly Shop will temporarily close, effective March 22, 2020. Presently, our reopening date is uncertain, due to the ever-changing circumstances across New Mexico and the nation with the COVID-19 virus.
Going forward, we will continue to monitor and reassess the situation, and will reopen for business once it is determined that it safe to do so. For updates, check our Facebook page. In the meantime, stay safe and healthy and we look forward to seeing you again as soon as possible.
